Parking restrictions from Oct. 3 — Oct. 10

OCTOBER 6, 2025   

Netflix Productions LLC will be prepping and filming scenes for an upcoming feature film in the Hyde Park neighborhood and near the University of Chicago's campus from Friday, October 3 to Friday, October 10. 

In order to park essential vehicles and equipment, there will be NO PARKING/TOW ZONE areas for the following places from 6:00 a.m., Friday, October 3 to 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 10:

  • Both sides of 59th Street from Kimbark Avenue to Woodlawn Avenue.
  • The west side of Woodlawn Avenue from 58th Street to 59th Street.
  • Both sides of 59th Street from Woodlawn Avenue to University Avenue from 4:00 a.m., Monday, October 6 to 10:00 p.m., Thursday, October 9. 

There will also be intermittent traffic control on Monday, October 6 from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on 59th Street from Kimbark Avenue to Woodlawn Avenue.

Permits and traffic control, if required, are being coordinated with the Chicago Film Office and the Chicago Police Department.

Netflix Productions LLC does not plan to block driveways, loading zones, fire hydrants, bus stops or disabled parking zones.
