The University of Chicago Police Department was re-accredited with Advanced Law Enforcement Accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) on July 16. The UCPD achieved their initial accreditation in 2014.
To comply with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, or Clery Act, the University of Chicago provides resources to inform students, faculty, and staff about safety and security matters that impact our community. The University publishes an Annual Security & Fire Safety Report, which is one of the requirements of the Clery Act. Members of the University community are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the information included in this report.
