UGo Shuttle Service and street closures on the Juneteenth holiday

JUNE 16, 2025

In observance of the Juneteenth holiday on June 19, there will be no UGo service on the following routes:

  • 53rd Street Express
  • Red Line/Arts Block
  • Downtown Campus Connector
  • Regents Express

UGo NightRide Shuttle Routes will run every 30 minutes from 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. on the following routes:

  • North
  • South
  • East
  • Central

All University of Chicago Medical Center routes will run on a regular schedule. Those routes are:

  • Midway Metra
  • Apostolic
  • Apostolic/Drexel
  • Drexel
  • Friends Center/Metra

Regular UGo Shuttle Service will resume on Friday, June 20.

Payne Drive will also be closed on Thursday, June 19 as part of The DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center's Juneteenth Celebration.
