Road closures and parking restrictions on April 27

APRIL 26, 2024 

The 2024 Monsters of the Midway bike race will be held on the Midway Plaisance near the University of Chicago's Hyde Park campus on Saturday, April 27 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Road closures will begin at 6:30 a.m. and street access on the Midway Plaisance will be limited between South Cottage Grove Avenue to South Blackstone Avenue throughout the race.

South Ellis, South Woodlawn, and South Dorchester will be closed to traffic from East 59th Street to East 60th Street during the race as well.

Additionally, there will be a NO PARKING/TOW ZONE on both sides of the Midway Plaisance starting at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday. 

The race will also affect the CTA's 171 and 172 bus routes.
