Security Alert: Tuesday, November 9, 2021

At approximately 12:10 p.m., Tuesday, November 9, 2021 – Chicago Police and UCPD officers responded to calls of shots fired at 53rd Street and South Harper Avenue by The Polsky Center and Harper Court. Upon arrival officers found multiple shell casings in the street and observed a window of a nearby business damaged as well as damage to two parked vehicles. As of this time no injuries have been reported. Witnesses report the gunfire came from a dark grey Hyundai Sonata with Illinois plates BZ59852 that immediately fled away from the 53rd street area.  The vehicle used was reported stolen to CPD on November 8, 2021.  The Chicago Police Department is investigating this crime.
