Field Interviews

Every Monday through Friday (except holidays) the University of Chicago Police Department posts field interview information from interviews made by UCPD officers during the previous 24 hours. Weekend field interviews (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) are added on the following Monday.

Field interviews capture contact made between UCPD officers and an individual within the UCPD’s patrol area. Many of these contacts are initiated by calls the UCPD receives from members of the community. Field interviews do not necessarily result in charges or arrests.

The UCPD patrol area includes the area between 37th and 64th streets and Cottage Grove Avenue to Lake Shore Drive (not including Jackson Park).
