Cottage Grove Repaving Project
On Wednesday, September 4, the Chicago Department of Transportation will begin repaving South Cottage Grove Avenue between East 55th Street and East 63rd Street. The project is expected to continue into October, weather permitting, and could result in noticeable delays for UChicago commuters.
There will be truck activity along the roadway during construction, however access to buildings is expected to be unaffected by the construction. The roadwork will pause for residence hall move-in.
Parking will be restricted on both sides of Cottage Grove Avenue between 6:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays.
The Chicago Department of Transportation says that Cottage Grove Avenue will not be closed completely during construction, however the work could cause delays for UGo Shuttle routes and the CTA's 192 bus route.
