Crime Notice

At approximately 2:05 a.m., Sunday, May 5, 2024, – Chicago Police and UCPD officers responded to a call of a person shot on the sidewalk off-campus at 5311 S. Lake Park. Upon arrival officers found a person suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the University of Chicago Adult Emergency Room by Chicago Fire Department EMS. A short time later, a second shooting victim from the same location was self-transported to the UC Adult Emergency Room. Further details of the shooting are currently unknown. The Chicago Police Department is investigating this shooting.
