How do I register my bike?

-You can register your bike with the UCPD. Please contact UCPD Community Services at 773.702.6008 to schedule an appointment. We'll give your bike a numbered identification sticker and put it on record with the Chicago Police Department.

How do I register my laptop?

-You can register your laptop with the UCPD. Please contact UCPD Community Services at 773.702.6008 to schedule an appointment. A numbered Stop Tag tamper proof security plate will be affixed to your laptop.

How do I file a police report?

-If the incident occurred on-campus or campus-owned property or you are unsure of the location of occurrence contact the University of Chicago Police Department at 773.702.8181. An officer will be dispatched to your location. You may also come to our office at 6054 South Drexel Avenue, Chicago IL. The main entrance is on the 61st Street side of the building. 

-If the incident occurred off-campus or on non-campus property call the Chicago Police Department at 311 for non-emergencies or 911 if it is an emergency.

How do I request a Safety Presentation?  

-UCPD officers regularly attend community meetings and events to share safety information. To schedule a visit to your event, call 773.702.6008.
