Parking Rates Increasing October 1

The University’s Transportation & Parking Policy Committee has agreed to the following parking-related changes, effective October 1, 2017:

  • The monthly parking permit rate will increase to $105 a month from $100.
  • Parking citations will increase to $45 from $30, and will increase by $15 each time the same offense is committed. An additional $20 will be added to the citation if it goes to collections.
  • Visitor parking rates at Ellis Garage will increase to the following rates:
    • 0-2 hours - $12
    • 2-3 hours - $16
    • 3-4 hours - $22
    • 4-24 hours - $28

The committee also approved plans to expand the University’s mobile payment parking program for visitor parking on South Campus. Specific information about locations will be shared once they are identified and designated as pay by phone spaces.

The Transportation & Parking Policy Committee is comprised of leadership from a variety of departments and programs across the University. The committee meets three times a year to discuss transportation and parking programs and services impacting campus.
