Events Marking National Safety Month Planned
The University’s Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) unit will again be hosting events throughout June in support of National Safety Month and to promote safety on campus.
The focus of these events is to raise awareness about reducing the causes of injuries at work, on the road, and at home. In addition to members of EHS, there will also be representatives on hand from the Office of Research Safety and the University of Chicago Police Department.
The National Safety Month events will be held rain or shine from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Wednesday in June in the following locations:
- June 7 – Reynolds Club
- June 14 – Crerar Library Quad
- June 21 – Main Quad Circle
- June 28 – North Science Quad (between Donnelly BSLC and Eckhardt Research Center)
Demonstrations, information, prizes, and food are part of each of these events. All students, faulty, and staff are welcome to attend.
