53rd Street Closure Impacting Shuttles

Due to the closure of 53rd Street between Dorchester Avenue and Kimbark Avenue, the 53rd Street Express, CIE, and East shuttles are all being rerouted through Friday, February 5, 2016.

University to Stop Subsidizing CTA 170

Citing consistently low ridership and redundancy with other transit options, the University will stop subsidizing the Chicago Transit Authority’s 170 bus route, effective May 27, 2016. The three other bus routes the CTA operates as part of its agreement with the University – the 171, 172, and 192 – will remain in service and will not be impacted by this change.

CIE Shuttle Adds Ratner Stop

Effective Monday, January 4, 2016, the southbound CIE Shuttle will begin picking up and dropping off passengers at the Ratner Athletics Center.
